The biopic on film are often an amalgam of anecdotes about courses, or very close to outright hagiography ("Ali", the always excellent Michael Mann ) or partisan enough to make one arch an eyebrow ("Malcolm X" by Spike Lee ). At other times, the biopic is a waste of time and money simply incomprehensible: the Oscar-winning "A Beautiful Mind", without going any further.
"The doors", or rather, the Oliver Stone Doors are a new twist in the filmography of director, a director who was described by Méndez Leite as "the worst maker of history "and that, indeed, feel a special interest in biographies of people have more or less controversial through his usual strategy: accelerated scenes, suns fade, carefree music, drugs, seizures, very strange images. It has the slightest hint of hesitation in going through your mind battery including everything that makes you curious or fascinated. A curious guy, this Oliver Stone, and a curious film, this "The doors".
input Suspicious that any resemblance to reality can be pure coincidence ( Stone does the myth of the myth of the myth), the pleasure is listening to "Riders on the storm "or" Light My Fire "in a good 5.1 together with hypnotic and psychotropic images makes it a must. Many of the fans of the Doors had no hesitation in raising his hand against a commercial product and charge dramatically the film to portray the worst of the myth. Beyond this, if what is sought is a film interesting to hang out and stick a good trip (in the best sense of the word), and is willing to tolerate things as the "Carmina Burana" in the middle of an orgy of drugs and blood ... then, the tape is valid flawless.
Without being a masterpiece, is a good stop to rest in the bosom of a hyperbolic and humorous story, and especially to rescue the old vinyl Jim cabinet and return to enjoy one of the best bands ever. That is something.
